Are anti-wrinkle injections painful?
Anti-wrinkle injections are administered using a very fine needle. You will need several injections for your treatment; however, they should feel like a very small prick and cause you minimal pain and discomfort. We find that most clients can tolerate the sensation extremely well.
Are there any side effects of anti-wrinkle injections?
Depending on the sensitivity of your skin and any medications you may be taking, there is a chance you may experience some minor, temporary side effects. These may include:
*Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising at or around the injection site(s)
*Tiny red dots where you were injected
*A mild headache, depending on where you were injected.
These effects will resolve themselves in a short time, but you can take over-the-counter pain medication if needed.
How long do anti-wrinkle treatments last?
Every client responds differently depending on individual physiology, but as a general rule the results of anti-wrinkle injections will last for between two and four months. The impact will wear off gradually. After six weeks, the full effect will lessen and you’ll see a little movement creep back in. Your facial muscles will return to full functionality after 2-4 months, at which point we recommend you return for your next treatment. We recommend a two-week follow-up appointment so that our experts can check your progress.
