What is Profhilo®?

Provided by medical practitioners, Profhilo® is an injectable skin treatment containing very high concentrations of hyaluronic acid, designed to remodel and rejuvenate skin. Levels of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in the skin begin to decline from the age of 30 onwards; Profhilo® acts to reverse some of these changes. Profhilo® is recommended for adults who feel their skin has begun to lose overall plumpness and radiance. Profhilo® is not the right choice for anyone looking to replace lost volume in specific parts of their face, or to alter the shape of their face or features.
A single course of Profhilo® requires two injection treatments, typically four weeks apart. Your face will be injected at up to 10 injection sites. Profhilo® disperses quickly into the skin.
Profhilo® works differently because it is made of 100% hyaluronic acid, while dermal fillers have other components. Because Profhilo® is made of a completely natural skin substance, it blends into the skin seamlessly and distributes itself evenly. The treatment helps to retain moisture levels while boosting the production of collagen and elastin, refreshing the skin from the inside out.

By contrast, dermal filler is injected to enhance a specific area, and does not typically migrate to the surrounding skin.
